I signed a 13 month lease in the Citrus Park area and now it's time to renew my lease.
A neighbor told me he received a Non-Renewal notice from the complex (Brookview at Citrus Park), which lead me to do some research. I found this info:

A neighbor told me he received a Non-Renewal notice from the complex (Brookview at Citrus Park), which lead me to do some research. I found this info:
"Generally, a landlord can end a lease without reason when the term is over. Generally, landlords must not accept rent or agree to new terms beyond the original lease term if they do not wish to renew the lease. ... In most cases, staying in a rental property beyond the end of your lease term is grounds for a landlord to file an "unlawful detainer" action and seek a tenant's eviction."
This is good information for folks looking to relocate, be aware your complex can deny your lease renewal without any specific reason: which would result in moving cost and other cost that may not be in your budget.
